Deleting your Meldly account
You can delete your account here, without installing the app and without writing to us. We confirm with a code sent to the address saved on the account.
We send the code only to the address saved on the account — never to the address typed into this form, if the two differ. Without that rule, the form would be a tool for deleting other people’s accounts.
For security reasons we answer in exactly the same way whether or not an account with the address given exists.
The account has been disabled.
We have logged out all devices. We will erase the data irreversibly after 30 days. We have sent a confirmation to your address together with a code you can use to reverse this decision.
If you have an active subscription — cancel it separately in Google Play. Deleting your Meldly account will not stop it, because that is a contract with the store, not with us.
Did you get a message from us saying the account will be deleted, and it was not your decision? Enter the code from that message — the account will go back to working with everything that is on it.
The account has been kept.
You can log in as normal. If you do not know who asked for the deletion, change your password — and if you log in through Google, check in your Google account settings which devices have access to it.

You can also delete the account in the app
Settings → Account → Delete account. There we do not send a code — we ask for your password or for confirmation with your Google account again. The reason is simple: the threat is someone else’s unlocked phone, and on such a phone the mailbox is open just as the app is. An outsider does not know the password.
Before you delete — you can download your data
In the app, under Settings → Account → Download my data, we will prepare a package in JSON and CSV formats with everything we hold about you. Once anonymisation has happened, it can no longer be reconstructed.
If you no longer have access to your mailbox
Then this page will not help — and that is how it should be, because the code sent to the mailbox is the only proof that the account belongs to you. Write to contact@meldlyapp.com; we consider such matters individually, within the time limit that follows from the personal data protection rules.
